A Celebration Of Life: Earley J. Everett

Earley Jerry Everett Sr. was born July 13, 1945, to the late Carrie Hamilton Everett and Reverend

Paul Everett Sr. in the Sixteen Section Community of Drew County, Arkansas. He peacefully

departed from this life to rest on December 29, 2024, in his home in McGehee, Arkansas.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful long-time member of Sixteen Section

Missionary Baptist Church. He faithfully served as a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent,

President of the Sixteen Section Cemetery Board, lawn caretaker for the church and cemetery,

and anywhere that he saw a need within the church. Not only did he serve in his local church, he

was very active in the Southeast District Baptist Association. He was President of the Union

Singing #1 Music Convention, Vice President of the Southeast District Music Convention, and

Vice President of the Southeast District Laymen’s Ministry. Earley was truly known all over

Southeastern Arkansas for his long-term commitment to every aspect of the association. Earley

was also a member of the Arkansas District #4 Prince Hall Affiliated Masonic Organization


Wyoming Lodge #461.


Earley was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Paul Sr. and Carrie Hamilton Everett, his

brothers Rev. Wade “WD” Everett, Eddie Everett, Paul Everett Jr., and his sister Verlinda Everett

Campbell and sister in law Diane Graham Ridgell and brother in laws Dwayne Graham, Hiram


Graham Sr, and James Ridgell.


He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of thirty-seven years, Faye Ann Graham Everett. His

three sons; Earley Jr. (LaShana) Everett of Dermott, Arkansas, Adrian (Annie) Everett of

Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Anthony Wade of McGehee, Arkansas.


His two daughters; LaTonya Yvette Block and Lakisha (Patrick) Shaw of Monticello, Arkansas. His


seven grandsons; Blakely Block, Drake Saxton, Travion Everett,


Kyden Everett, Kadrian Everett, Anthony Wade Jr., and Mckinley Wade. His five granddaughters;

Shavrion Ollison, Jasmine Block, Antwanet Wade, Kae’Leah Hargraves, and Kaleigh Robinson. His

three great grandchildren; Christian Block, Darmarius Saxton, and Armon Saxton. His three

brothers; Authur Lee (Frankie) Everett of Monticello, Arkansas, Rev. Brown Lee (Earlene) Everett

of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Ray Dale (Linda) Everett of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. His three sisters;

Earnestine Everett of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Mae Vern (Tommie) Simpson of 16 Section

Community, Georgia Everett Long of Kansas City, Kansas. His three brother in laws; Travis

Campbell of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Samuel Keith (Jackie) Graham of McGehee, Arkansas, Lovell

Gaines of McGehee, Arkansas and his two sister in laws; Lesley Graham of Chicago, Illinois and


Bobbie Clark Everett of Monticello, Arkansas.

A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.



Funeral services will be held at McGehee High School, 1902 Ash Street, McGehee, AR 71654


Services entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, 101 Park Street, McGehee, AR 71654
