A Celebration Of Life: Carolyn L. Johnson

Carolyn Louise Johnson was born on August 9th, 1942, in Monticello Arkansas to the union of Lucille Swain and George Purifoy. Carolyn attended Chicot Memorial High school. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. Carolyn loved sports, cooking, working and loving all children. Carolyn was the youngest daughter of 11 siblings. She was preceded in by death by her parents, 10 siblings, two husbands (Walter Johnson Jr. and Donald Robinson), and 3 children (Jacklon, Robert Lee, and Charles)

Carolyn grew up in Dermott, Arkansas, where she met her First Husband Walter "DeDe" Johnson, the two were married in 1961. In 1965 they moved to Detroit, MI. In their marriage, they had three beautiful children, Robert Lee (Grandester), Jacklon, and Kimberly (Ronnie). Three grandchildren who she took in as her own (Jaquinda Simpson, Charles and Charleston Williams). She worked for Chrysler in Hamtramck, MI. Later in life she worked at Special Touch Daycare in Southfield, MI. Carolyn lived in Detroit, MI for 62 years up until 2008. She relocated back to Arkansas, where she met her second husband, Donald Robinson (m2010) and lived happy until his passing. Carolyn was very welcoming. She loved her family, and each one of her grandchildren/children they held a special place in her heart. Lyrick, Kali, Charles Jr. #1, Charles Jr. #2, K'hanarie, Nykhilei, Arianna, Charlee, Ramell Jr., Ramyraiah, Ramoney, Ramon, Ramire and Ramod; great great granddaughter: Peyton. She leaves to cherish her daughters, Kimberly and Jaquinda and son Charleston (Vita); grandchildren, Rickey, Ramell, Lakendra, and Rakita; great grandchildren, Glenn (Alexis), Jaquory, Jakalen, Jaslinn, Rickey Jr., Dominick. Services entrusted to Willis Funeral Home 101 Park Street McGehee, Arkansas 71654.
